President Critiques Our Christianity--in Islamic Turkey!
I suggest President Barrack Hussein Obama speaks only for himself when he outlandishly declared on April 6th that, “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” Ironically or intentionally dropping that bombshell at the start of the Christian Holy Week, Obama chose his audience well, Turkish Muslims.
If he wanted to re-kindle the widespread rumors that circulated during the campaign that he was a closet Muslim, he couldn’t have picked a better venue than Turkey which has a long-established history of discriminating against Christians and even, in the instance of Armenian Christians, attempting to obliterate them from the face of the Earth.
The Turks must have found great consolation in an American president visiting their country and effectively renouncing America’s Christian heritage following his obsequious bowing to the Muslim King Abdullah.
Had the circumstances been reversed and a professed Muslim-American president renounced Islam in the bowels of the Islamic world, Secret Service or no, Obama could have met the fate of other apostates and been beheaded.
That rumor of his Muslim allegiance had sufficient substance last summer and fall to force Obama-ites to devote much valuable time to refute and condemn it as an absurdity. Whether he and they protesteth too much still remains to be determined.
What is irrefutable is that his heritage and background were distinctly Islamic. His late mother is reputed to have been an atheist, an atheist who happened to marry not one but two Muslim men. Other influences in his life, his African relatives in Kenya as well as his father’s Islamic roots, his years spent in Muslim Indonesia, his Muslim roomies in college, point to the possibility that America’s new leader had more than a smidgen of the Q’uran in his blood.

Personally, despite all that and despite his middle name which he insisted on using at his inauguration, I don’t believe Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. More likely, he is an atheist like his mother and, as such, is an ungodly man by definition. Professed atheists and “ungodly” candidates don’t usually sit very well with the American electorate, however, so Barack needed a base which he found with the radical minister, Jeremiah Wright.
So he sat, religiously, in his pew for 20 years at the Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ–NOT of Allah–and was married by and had his two girls christened by that good reverend. Those facts were offered as proof that Obama was a good, practicing Christian. All they really proved was that he could sit in that pew and swallow Wright’s anti-American rants for two decades and he reinforced his agreement with Wright’s philosophy by allowing him to officiate at his wedding and at the christenings of his kids.
It also didn’t hurt a profoundly ambitious man to create the illusion in the minds of his future constituents that, one, he was not a Muslim and, two, that he was a devoted Christian. As fallen-away as many Americans are today, they still like to think our leaders go to church, a Christian church, in our (approximately) 77% Christian and (approximately) 0.5% Islamic nation.

What I firmly believe happened at Obama’s Turkey stop was that, with or without his trusty teleprompter, our president voiced a seminal belief, or wish, that America is no longer a Christian nation, if it ever was. That belief, or wish, affords him the intellectual license to continue on his amoral, irreligious path, to change us into an atheistic society which he can mold according to his preferences.
May God forgive him and may God forgive all of us if we let him get away with it.

Genocide and Hitler's Inspiration
One can never go very far wrong overestimating the barbarity of the human species. Nor can one go far wrong in stating that all examples of genocide are repugnant but, it would seem, some are more repugnant than others.
Examples of genocidal attempts to systematically wipe out a race, nation or people have long stained the annals of human history, many instances now lost in the fog of time.
Most recent genocides have occurred in Africa, in Darfur in the present century where the Sudanese government and its surrogates are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of multi-ethnic, non-Arab Muslim civilians, and in Rwanda in 1994 where rampaging Hutus are believed to have massacred over 800,000 minority Tutsis over a period of a hundred days.
Whether the Bosnian Serb efforts at “ethnic cleansing” of the mid 1990’s technically “qualified” as true genocide has been the subject of much debate in the United Nations, which had unknowingly participated in the killing of many thousands and the rape of up to 50,000 Bosniak women and children.
Apparently, the U.N. is much more able to debate than it has the capacity to act in a beneficial fashion since much of the Rwanda horror was conducted while U.N. “peacekeepers” were in that country acting more as facilitators than peacekeepers. Apparently, too, when it comes to publicizing ethnic cleansing or genocide, it’s matters more whom you know than what you know.
That fact is evident from continuing reminders of the Jewish Holocaust more than six decades after its conclusion whereas, aside from show trials after the Bosnian War, relatively little is ever heard about the slaughters there, nor about the horrendous crimes and death tolls in Darfur or Rwanda.
Granted that the Holocaust is probably the single most devastating and sickening example of genocide in the history of the planet in terms of the sheer number of Jews murdered at the hands of Adolph Hitler and Karl Adolf Eichmann. And it should always be remembered, in the probably vain hope that remembrance will insure it “Never again” occurs.
However, if memory of the Holocaust is to be forever imprinted on the collective soul of humanity, should not other catastrophic events, massacres, mass killings, also be recalled?
Wikipedia cites the destruction of Carthage as the first example of a genocide as well as Genghis Khan’s reign of terror and mass murders committed in ancient times by Jews themselves against their foes. Post 1490, some 50 locales are mentioned as the scenes of mass genocidal and “gendercidal,” (males only), slaughters.
One shameful instance of genocide that, with all the emphasis on and reminders of the Holocaust, has been widely overlooked and swept under humanity’s rug, is the “forgotten holocaust,” the World War One murder of 1.5 million Aremenians by Ottoman Turks between 1915 and 1917: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-479143/The-forgotten-Holocaust-The-Armenian-massacre-inspired-Hitler.html. The Presidential Gaffe Tour, England
I have no qualms about Michelle O. actually touching the Queen of England. Last I heard, good Queen Liz is still a human being and probably scratches an itch, goes potty, and puts her bloomers on one leg at a time.
For America’s First Lady to reciprocally extend her arm around Liz after Liz had done the same may be a breach of British Royal Protocol, but who really cares, except the Brits?
The British Empire is long gone and the Brits should get off their high horses and dispatch them forthwith to the knackers. Within a few generations, or less, Great Britain may be a Muslim island nation on the western border of Eurabia and the Queen’s successors may be practicing Sharia Law and an ayatollah may be sitting on her throne.
British royalty has for centuries been so puffed up with a sense of its own grandiosity that it has as little comprehension for planetary realities as it has empathy for the commoners of England, the masses who mindlessly continue to fund their opulent lifestyle for the sole purpose of preserving an antiquated tradition.
Even fellow royals such as the late Princess Diana are ostracized when they thumb their royal noses at that tradition. Yet, Diana’s cheating hubby, 61 year old “Prince” Charles–next in line to Mum’s throne, he thinks– is given a pass for his multitudinous peccadillos.
Bonnie Prince Charlie is the same prince who was, allegedly, long-involved with the equinous, former Camilla Parker-Bowles and who ever-so-romantically expressed his wish to be her human tampon. That would never have worked; Chuckie is so ultra-fastidious that he has his man servant hold the cup when he must provide a urine sample.
However, I digress. Back to the Gaffe Tour.
Touching a royal, and gifting ipods stuffed with Obama speeches aside, there are gaffes and there are gaffes, lesser screw-ups vs. major screw-ups, big boners and little boners.
Like Michelle giving Liz a back squeeze, Barack’s bowing to a Saudi king may be attributable to sheer naivete’. However, when the president of the United States bowed and seemed headed down to kiss . . .

A Melange: President TDB, Sexting, Oprah
These stories currently on the wires are unrelated, unless you consider that they all reflect some form of human frailty and/or idiocy.

President TDB, for Trillion Dollar Baby, made sure in all his generosity dispensing billions to banks, insurance companies, auto makers, credit card issuers, and other well-deserving recipients of his boundless largesse, that the wee people, not the leprechauns, weren’t forgotten.
Whether they voted for him or not, most working taxpayers will be receiving–good thing you’re sitting down for this news!–a grand total of about $10-$15 a week! There are some qualifiers, of course, but legally married couples could get up to $20! Translation: You will be paying more for those everythings, in some cases a lot more, but TDB will still be able to say he didn’t raise your taxes. Those dastardly oil companies, utility companies, and everyone else are just charging more, for some inexplicable reason, probably for a greedy, insatiable, capitalistic reason.
In any event, it’s all former president Bush’s fault. If you haven’t already noticed, that’s the mantra for the TDB regime and will be for the next four years. Even Bush’s tax cuts will be the cause of all working people paying more in taxes.
How’s that? Pay attention, now!
When the much-reviled President GWB’s tax cuts are allowed to expire in 2010, American workers will be paying even more money to the government, through the nose or through some other body aperture. But, again, TDB won’t be raising your taxes. He and his Democratic congressional cohorts will just not be renewing Bush’s tax cuts. See why Bush is responsible, now? If he had pushed for no sunset on his cuts or a twenty year window you would still have them next year and beyond to 2020.
Suggestion: Hold off on Burger King and instead use coupons and skip the temptation to superzize. Bank that ten or twenty dollar weekly gift from Obama. You’ll need it to pay your future taxes. Better still, since your bank may go belly-up, stuff it under a mattress. At least then it will afford you some, temporary, cushioning.
Any Obama voters ready to repent? If not, just remember he’s only been in office for 70 days. Imagine the havoc he will wreak over the rest of his term!
Oh, yeah. If you’re among the 38% of Americans who don’t pay any federal income taxes anyway or if you don’t bother to work at all, no worries, you’re immune from the hikes in payroll taxes. You will be coughing up more for everything else but take solace in the fact they’re not direct taxes. Indirect taxes are easier on the wallet, right?
Sexting and Parenting, Or How Dumb Parents Don’t Teach Their Children Well: On different but no less disturbing news, some teenies are fighting back over their constitutional and God-given right to be junior amateur porn stars by disseminating child pornography without being charged with disseminating child pornography.
The topic of “sexting” by teenies, the super fun extra-curricular and co-curricular activity of posting pictures of themselves partially clad or in their birthday suits by cell phone has been the subject of recent articles here, notably, “Teen Sexting, Texting, and Suicide,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=924. There are always little quirks that distinguish the stories, however.

Gay Seduction Day: April 17, 2009
Moments of silence are a time-honored tribute to honor the memories of notables who have contributed in some way to the well-being of society. Sometimes those moments have afforded occasion for people to reflect on their memories of American heroes, loved ones, fellow workers or fellow students who have died and who will be missed. Recently, sometimes moments, or days, of silence have been instituted to promote certain moral/political/societal efforts to seduce children.
Such is the promotion of the National Day of Silence scheduled for Friday, April 17th, 2009 in Massachusetts schools and probably in other schools in America.
What’s being promoted? Well, it’s not an effort to get kids to strive and to study harder to help insure their success in these trying times. It’s not an effort to promote students’ sense of patriotism nor an effort to get them to go to church and resolve to be better people and dedicate themselves and their sacred honor to altruism and principled lives.
The planned National Day of Silence is intended to get children to make nice to homosexuals, to accept as normal the practice of homosexuality and to give deep thought during that day toward adopting that sick lifestyle.
The Day of Silence, DOS, website, http://www.dayofsilence.org/index.cfm, doesn’t precisely express its aims that way. Rather, it says that it seeks to draw “attention” to “anti-LGBT [lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgendered] name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools.” It redundantly adds that its purpose is “to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior” via its growing network of “hundreds of thousands of students,” which network has been in development for some twenty years.
What’s more than curious is that this group has chosen silence rather than discussion as its method of propagating its view. It would seem that if “anti-LGBT behavior” is such an overriding issue, in schools or elsewhere, it would be most proper and beneficial to air the nature of that behavior, to expose it to the clear light of day and allow for the interchange of differing ideas and points of view.
But that’s not the plan.
What is also curious at best is the acquiescence of any school administration and any teaching personnel in such Days of Silence, thereby condoning and fostering the actions of homosexuals. Rather than devote a day to improving curriculum, student attendance, student motivation, students’ lives and futures, they are setting aside time to forcefully push the homosexual agenda.
Will the devotion of a teaching day, or any part thereof, to such a group’s activities grease the skids for next year’s “Bring a Perv to School Day” or a “Day with Child Porn Purveyors?”
I guess that’s unlikely for a while even if this whole idea of silence seems un-American, even though a little silence in many American classrooms would be a welcome novelty.
However, the squelching of any debate or honest discussion is central to LGBT plans. Mandated silence on the part of the opposition, non-LGBT students, allows those promoting the Day of Silence event to freely propagandize their captive audiences without fear of dissident opinions being expressed by the vast majority of straight kids.
The very spare DOS site went on to ask for comments from participants, which it would screen before posting: “What are you and your friends doing for the Day of Silence?” it asked. ”Did you participate last year? How did your school’s administration react? Did you hold a ‘Breaking the Silence’ event? How did you celebrate it?”
Celebrate a day on which American students will be effectively muzzled and compelled to listen to this tripe, without comment? Big Brother would want to celebrate but not thinking students...

Mr. Obama Goes To Europe
Recall those pictures from last July as candidate Barack Obama strode like a mighty colossus across Europe, regaling up to 200,000 screaming fans with his never-defined promises of change and with paid rock bands brought in to entertain the plebians?
Well, some of his plans for change have now been defined and millions here and abroad don’t like the looks of the definitions. The relatively heady days of 2008 have been supplanted with worldwide financial spasms and we are now residents of a world far different from last July.
Those ecstatic hordes of European fans greeted an Elvis-reborn, the political equivalent of a rock star, a potential new kind of American leader who promised a new and different future. They would have gone bonkers for virtually anyone who promised an end to the 8 years of misery many Europeans felt they and the planet had endured under George W. Bush. Those Obamaniacs may turn out again but their gusto may be tempered by doubts that Obama is not all he seemed to be seven months ago.
Last year, Obama wanted to ice his Berlin cake with a speech at the Brandenburg Gate, perhaps to repeat JFK’s memorable words of 45 years earlier, “Ich bin ein Berliner,” or, “I am a jelly donut,” in German slang, but he was denied that overreaching presumption. In a few days, when he speaks at the G-20 confab in London, Obama will be lucky to get a cup of tepid tea and a stale crumpet.
Had President Ronald Reagan–and Pope John Paul II–not succeeded in having Mr. Gorbachev “tear down that wall,” Obama most assuredly would have put in an appearance at the Berlin Wall, which for decades divided the free West from the enslaved East Germany. Candidate Obama, absent his teleprompter, might have delivered an inspiring oration and could have incorporated these memorable words: “Messrs. Putin and Medvedev, the world would really like you to consider, umm, y’know, maybe putting a gate in that wall there, ya know, the one behind me. Or, maybe, umm, setting a gate timetable, or something.”
But history denied him that opportunity in 2008 and will in 2009 which is regrettable since his German fans would have lapped it up, just as Hitler’s brownshirts lapped up his inspirational words 70 years ago. Now, God forbid, I am not in any way comparing Obama to Hitler. For one thing, Hitler didn’t rely on a teleprompter, for another Obama is not a card-carrying member of the “Master Race” and, for a third, Adolph referred to Negroes as “half apes” in Mein Kampf. That would make Obama a “quarter ape,” in Hitler’s mind. Nevertheless, there are definite similarities in the semi-hysterical enthusiasm of their audiences.
As Mister Obama prepares for a triumphant European reprise, this time as President of the United States and, not incidentally, Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces and reputed, unofficial Leader of the Free World, he may be in for a radically different reception from 2008. Teen Sexting II

The primary subject of that article was 18 year old Cincinnati area girl, Jessica Logan, who had made a grievous mistake, a mistake being made by millions of other teenagers, predominantly by teen girls: She had texted, “sexted” is the popular term, compromising pictures of herself to a boyfriend and, after their breakup, he and/or five of her “friends” forwarded the pictures to hundreds of other girls.
The result for Jessica was a living hell. She was shunned, expelled from parties, taunted and bullied on Facebook and MySpace, and received endless, random phone calls accusing her of being a slut. She ended that hell by resorting to what she felt was her only recourse. Jessie hanged herself in her bedroom last July 3rd.
To her parent’s great credit, only months after that horrific event, they are now speaking out in hopes of forestalling “copycat” suicides by other teens as a consequence of such sexting. Following their daughter’s lead–Jessica had gone public on Cincinnatti television in May, “to make sure no one else will have to go through this again”–Cynthia and Albert Logan have launched a nationwide effort to help curb sexting by children: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20090322/NEWS01/903220312/-1/TODAY.
Jessie, an only child, was a typical Ohio teenage girl, vivacious, compassionate, artistic, outgoing, all of which traits were thrown into reverse when she learned that what she had thought were her private pictures had been widely disseminated.
She was subjected to relentless harassment, called a ”slut, porn queen, whore,” quite possibly by many peers who had engaged in similar acts of sexting indiscreet pictures. There is no definitive study on precisely how many teens actually do engage in the dangerous practice. One national estimate says 22%, although some high schools report that up to 50% have “inappropriate” pictures on cell phones.
